2. HORIZON-CL5-2026-01-D6-13: Safety of cyclists, pedestrians and users of micromobility devices
Horizon-CL5-2026-01-D6-13 Safety of cyclists, pedestrians and users of micromobility devices is a Research and Innovation Action (RIA) topic with a deadline on the 20th of January 2026. This topic focuses on collecting data and identifying crash contributing factors and providing analysis of the safety needs and tailored measures for cyclists and each micromobility mode. The projects have to assess the safety risks for pedestrians linked to higher-speed micromobility modes as well as vehicle-to-everything technologies and quantify the impact of cycling infrastructure on safety. Best practices in the design of bicycles and micromobility vehicles should be identified and the projects need to include pilots in two real-life urban environments. Projects can receive up to €5M in funding.
